Kevin and Ann Schmid created a hunting paradise in Wautoma, Wisconsin and called it "Little Texas". This hunting preserve was created as a family hunting retreat and until recently has only been hunted by family and a few close friends. Being avid hunters themselves, Kevin and Ann made sure that no detail was overlooked in transforming this ranch into a world class luxury hunting resort. In the fall of 2007, this Wisconsin hunting preserve was opened to the public for private hunts.

The 2007 - 2009 seasons were such a success that we brought on Forrest and Lisa Pike at the end of 2009 to manage & operate Little Tex Hunts to ensure that our customers have the experience that most can only dream of. Forrest & Lisa share our vision and dream to provide the client with a hunting vacation they will remember for a lifetime.
Little Texas Ranch adheres to a strict management program to allow maximum growth in both body and antler mass. We only harvest mature animals and have a select management program. Our biologist ensures we have the proper mix of food plots and protein available year round to allow every animal to reach its full potential. Since the inception of Little Texas the main vision has been a first class quality hunt, in a fair chase environment. That has proved to be the key to our success. The thrill of sitting on stand and at any moment you may encounter Elk, Fallow, Whitetail or Sika deer. You may see males fighting for dominance or chasing a hot doe or hear the majestic bugle of a Bull Elk looking for love. From September to January rest assured the adventure never stops. As Fall approaches, Elk are the first to come into season followed by the Fallow & Sika Deer. The rut then starts for the Whitetail leaving you in awe by the end of December, already yearning for the next year. Each hunt is tailored around the guest. You have your own guide that makes sure every detail is squared away. We cater to Bow, Gun or Muzzleloader hunters. We understand that everyone has his or her own wants and desires. Our goal is to fulfill all of your expectations and beyond. Little Texas Ranch has and will continue to produce record book trophy animals both typical and non-typical.
